Alvarez Lawn Service

Services

Everything we do —in plain English.

We’ll quote any of these on-site. The price you get is the price you pay — no surprise add-ons, no upsells.

  • Weekly Mowing

Even cut, edged borders, walks blown clean — same morning, same crew, every week between Cedar Hill and Mansfield.

Weekly or bi-weekly mowing on a fixed route across DFW southwest. Sharp blades, mulch-cut by default, bagging on request. We adjust cut height across the season — taller through August so the lawn keeps moisture in, shorter on the last cut before dormancy. Edged at every visit, walks and drives blown clean before we leave.

  • Edging & Trimming

Power-edged borders along beds, walks, and drives — string-trimmed around fences, mailboxes, and trees.

Clean, deliberate edges that stay sharp the full week. Careful trim work around obstacles a mower can’t reach — fence posts, mailboxes, AC pads, trees — and a final pass with the blower so nothing carries onto the patio or street.

  • Flowerbed Work

Hand-pulled weeds, fresh mulch, plants picked for clay-and-prairie soil — beds that look tended, not neglected.

Hand-pulled weeds (no glyphosate near edibles unless you ask), seasonal pruning timed to each plant, and a fresh mulch top-up every spring and fall. Plant choices that survive Cedar Hill’s clay and the prairie soils east toward DeSoto and Lancaster.

  • Seeding & Sod

Bermuda or zoysia overseeding, sod patches, and bare-spot repair — graded, laid, and watered in.

Spring overseeding for thin lawns, sod patches for the bare spots dogs and gates leave behind, and a printed watering schedule for the first three weeks. We come back at week two to check root contact.

  • Tree Trimming

Live oak, cedar elm, post oak — limbed up, deadwood out, debris hauled off, no clippings left in the bed.

Trimming and limb-up work on the trees that grow well around here — live oak, cedar elm, post oak, crepe myrtle. Cuts timed to the species (we don’t prune oaks Feb–Jun for oak-wilt reasons) and debris tarp-loaded and hauled off the same day.

  • Fence Install

Cedar privacy, chain link, or steel posts — set in concrete, plumb, square, with a gate that latches every time.

New fence runs across residential lots: cedar privacy (most common around here), chain link, or steel-post hybrid. Posts set in concrete, panels squared and plumb, gates hung with a real latch — not the bent piece of wire the previous crew left.

  • Fence Repair

Wind-leaned panels, rotted posts, sagging gates — fixed in a half-day instead of a full replacement.

After a Texas wind storm, most fences don’t need replacing — they need a few posts reset, a couple panels straightened, and the gate rehung. We come out, walk the line, and quote the repair before we touch anything.

  • Spring & Fall Cleanups

Leaves, sticks, dead growth out; mulch, edges, and beds reset for the season — twice a year does it.

A full-property reset twice a year. Spring: cut back perennials, remove winter debris, edge beds, refresh mulch. Fall: bag leaves, blow out beds and gutters from the ground, cut back what wants cutting, prep the lawn for dormancy.

Most weekly customers add cleanups, mulch, and the odd hardscape job — there’s usually a flat-rate way to handle that.
